About the Founder - Kerby Karkula

Kerby Karkula has been designing and building custom homes for most of his adult life. A licensed builder for over 15 years, Kerby uses his extensive experience to create plans that are not only functional and beautiful to live in, but also practical to build. Kerby has a rich history in art/design thanks in part to his father and sister for their artistic lessons, and his father-in-law for his 30 years in the solar industry. Kerby is passionate about passive solar, and the awesome potential it has to change the way we consume energy. Kerby’s collection of “Sun Savvy Homes” mirror this passion.

Along with his wife and six kids, Kerby now resides in beautiful St. George, Utah.
